Responsibilities:

1. Determine the risk involved in insuring the cattle proposed for insurance
2. Screen the cattle insurance proposals based on set criteria.
3. Use automated software to determine the risk of insuring cattle.
4. Review recommendations from underwriting software
5. Prepare quotes for retail and corporate business clients on day-to-day basis.
6. Approving the cattle proposals on standard risk basis and calling for additional information if any required for compliance
7. Generating reports and analyze the underwriting decisions.
8. Co-ordination with cattle claims team for providing any discrete information for making decisions in claim settlement.
9. Analytical thinking skills. the ability to work well with others. excellent verbal communication skills
10. Underwriting requires a series of specialized skills, including analytical, computer, communication, and math skills.
11. New hires get on-the-job training from senior underwriters and must complete key certification programs to advance in their careers.
